Regular salary increases and diverse employee benefits are direct contributors to employee satisfaction and key factors for many when choosing a job. Today (November 11), three companies under Eastern Group, namely Eastern Media International, ETMall, and ETwarm, won the “Gold Award” for the Civil Service Industry and Real-Estate Industry categories in the 2021 Happy Enterprise Awards organized by 1111 Job Bank. Under the leadership of President Gary Wang, the Group was also awarded the “Special Award” this year in recognition of the company’s dedication to helping the disadvantaged and giving back to society during the pandemic.
The 2021 Happy Enterprise Awards ceremony organized by 1111 Job Bank was attended by over 2,000 companies in Taiwan. After collecting over 2 million votes online and being assessed by a panel of judges, nearly 300 companies were awarded. The winning companies were mostly praised for providing diverse employee benefits, taking care of their employees during the pandemic without pay cuts, and providing flexible commuting and pandemic prevention care leave.
Mr. Wang has pointed out in several occasions that: “Employees are like family. Safe employees make for a safe society.” In view of the easing of the pandemic and the ensuing inflation and price hikes threatening the finances of our employees, Eastern Group led the industry in announcing that it would take care of its front-line employees by offering a salary increase of up to 7% based on their years of service and the state of the company’s finances. During the pandemic, Eastern Group was also the first and only company in the industry to arrange for universal employee PCR testing fully paid by the company. At the same time, employees were provided with free vaccine insurance and free dietary supplement products to enhance their immunity. The plethora of benefits led many employees to warmly say: “Thanks, boss!”
