People’s living habits have been changing subtly in the post-pandemic era. Cooking, instead of frequently eating out, has become one of the most popular lifestyle habits today. ETtoday and QT Entertainment joined forces to present a large-scale cooking competition show—CooKing, which will be aired on Oct. 23 (Fri) at 21:00 across all ETtoday platforms and Oct. 24 (Sat) at 18:00 on JET TV. Stay tuned!
Lulu has been invited to host CooKing, while the head mentors will be Jason Wang, who became a household name overnight on MasterChef USA with a bowl of amazing clam soup; elite chef and truffle expert Fred; and culinary genius Ai Fukuhara, whom table tennis had kept busy. Singer Aaron Yan—who recently launched a range of tasty products under Yan’s Collection—has been invited as the guest mentor, while entertainer Ralf Chiu—face of PX Mart—will be the “Fresh Produce Special Agent" to advise the contestants. These heavyweight culinary mentors will enliven the show with unforgettable kitchen moments!
The premiere episode will feature contestants ranging from restaurant chefs, food and beverage trainers, and restaurant owners, to celebrities and entertainers, including singer Jenny Liang, Russian entertainer Annie, and singer-actor Jolin Chien, who will be among those vying for the title of “CooKing". The contestants will be given 30 minutes to do their magic and use local ingredients to create a variety of dishes that must be tasty, visually-appealing, and nice-smelling. The cooking challenge is going to be full of exciting moments and highlights, so make sure not to miss out! In addition, in the premiere of the show broadcast on the ETtoday BOBA platform, three sets of cooking passwords will appear. All you have to do is download the ETtoday app, go to the event page, and fill in the correct password, then you will be eligible to participate in a lucky draw for an iPhone 12 Pro (128G). The iPhone—with a market price of NT$33,900—is waiting for you to take it home!
If you also want to show off your culinary skills, CooKing is currently also looking for exceptional home cooks. All you have to do is take a 3-minute cooking video of yourself and upload it to the “CooKing—Everyone to the Kitchen" website (https://events.ettoday.net/activity/CooKing2020), and you will have an opportunity to not only win prizes, but also to enter CooKing as a dark horse contestant!
