At the Golden Pinnacle Awards, Eastern Group won three awards: “ETtoday” took home two awards and “Eastern Natural Beauty” won one award. “ETtoday” under the Eastern Group won the following awards in two categories: Top Ten Outstanding Enterprise in “Golden Pinnacle Awards – Large Enterprise Category”, while ETtoday’s General Manager Mel Chen won the “Top Ten Outstanding Leaders Award”, making ETtoday the first new media company ever to receive the Golden Pinnacle Awards. “Eastern Natural Beauty” also won the highly-competitive “Golden Pinnacle Awards – Large Enterprise Category”. Double happiness has come to Eastern Group, and winning these national-level awards serves as a testament of Eastern Group’s formidable corporate strength.

The “Golden Pinnacle Awards”, organized by the Outstanding Enterprise Manager Association (OEMA), selects ten outstanding enterprises to receive the Golden Pinnacle Awards every year to recognize the efforts of top enterprises and leaders. Eastern Natural Beauty and ETtoday stood out from hundreds of companies and won the Golden Pinnacle Awards’ Top Ten Outstanding Enterprise in the “Golden Pinnacle Awards – Large Enterprise Category”, which demonstrates outstanding corporate leadership, excellent corporate image, and exceptional professionalism. The strength of the brand is evident to all.

Gary Wang, president of Eastern Group, expressed his gratitude to the organizers and judges for their affirmation, enabling Eastern Natural Beauty and ETtoday to both win awards in spite of the competition from more than 500 enterprises. In the future, Eastern will continue to strive towards creating better revenue and more job opportunities, as well as contributing to the community and fulfilling our corporate social responsibility. The many companies under the Group have been growing steadily in recent years, and the Group’s goal is to reach NT$200 billion in global revenue by 2025. We believe that such results are worthy of our efforts and expectations in leading Taiwan’s service and retail industries to reach out to the world.

ETtoday, established in 2011, has always emphasized fast action and an unconventional company culture, which has resulted in ETtoday’s traffic reaching record highs of an average daily traffic of over 17 million and its rapid rise to becoming a new media leader. At the same time, ETtoday continues to launch innovative services, crossing into offline advertising, pets related businesses, developing content e-commerce, and spending hundreds of millions of dollars to create the large-scale Chinese-speaking talent show “Jungle Voice”. In 2019, it won the 54th Golden Bell Awards for “Best Variety Programme” in the television category, becoming the first online media to ring the Golden Bell and setting a new example in the highly competitive media industry in Taiwan.

As a result, ET New Media Holdings’ business philosophy and brand image have always been recognized by professional organizations both at home and abroad, and have won numerous awards. In addition to receiving the Golden Pinnacle Awards today, ET New Media Holdings also won “The National Brand Yushan Award” in mid-July. Furthermore, according to a global survey conducted by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism of the University of Oxford over the years, ET New Media Holdings has been the most used online news media by the Taiwanese for three consecutive years. It is evident that ETtoday has an extremely powerful influence on the Chinese-speaking media community.

This year, Eastern Natural Beauty has also won a series of awards, serving as a testament of its capabilities. Eastern Natural Beauty, with nearly 50 years of experience, stood out from hundreds of companies in the nominees list of the “20th Top Ten Outstanding Enterprise – Golden Pinnacle Awards”, and the company was selected by the judges as a Top Ten Outstanding Enterprise under the Large Enterprise Category. This shows that Eastern Natural Beauty can be an example to the industry through its outstanding leadership, excellent corporate image, and exceptional professionalism. Furthermore, Eastern Natural Beauty has also been honored with six prestigious awards at home and abroad, in addition to the Golden Edge Award this year. These awards include: Three awards under the Asia Pacific Health and Biotechnology Awards and two awards under the Yushan Awards, serving as proof to the strength of the Eastern Natural Beauty brand. President Gary Wang of Eastern Group said that in the future, Eastern Natural Beauty will continue to invest in research and development, the pursuit of business optimization, and becoming the top cosmetic biotechnology brand in Chinese-speaking markets.

Eastern started with virtual retailing in Taiwan. In order to stay competitive in the mobile internet age, Eastern joined the cloud arena to maximize its enterprise value. Eastern actively developed our self-owned cosmetics and health food brands, and expanded our new retail and new media operations overseas. This year, the Group’s “Eastern Global New Network Marketing (Eckare)” has transformed the direct sales model to operate a number of health and beauty brands with its original high-margin business that combines social e-commerce development. This was a big step forward for Eastern’s international strategy, online-offline retail integration, and global marketing of beauty and health products.
