Mel Chen said that January 2020 coincided with Chinese New Year, and many pet owners made use of the annual holiday to buy food, supplies, and grooming products for their fur-babies, resulting in the performance boom in the pet industry. The single-day revenue on the day before New Year’s Eve was more than double the daily average.
