The rise of the stay-at-home economy under the pandemic has given domestic e-commerce companies momentous growth, with promising business prospects still ahead. In response to the added business opportunities, ETMall announced on the 6th that it would be recruiting new talents, offering annual salaries as high as NT$3 million in its search for shopping show hosts, producers, and product R&D staff. We welcome both college graduates and diverse talents to join us and challenge themselves!
ETMall says that an annual salary of NT$3 million is not impossible at the company. Ever since the company began operating in 1999, it has given rise to several exceptionally talented shopping program hosts. For example, former ETMall star host Regine Wu had an annual salary of NT$50 million during high sales periods. The latest host, Sasa, made her debut when she was a junior in college. After 20 years in the company, she has become the most experienced host in ETMall with an annual eight-figure salary. To find more outstanding talents, ETMall will be holding a shopping channel host selection event. The job comes with an annual salary of up to NT$3 million, which can be compared to the salary of senior managers at large enterprises. ETMall is also looking for other talents such as producers that know how to tell a story and what products to sell, or product R&D staff that are familiar with market changes and can choose products with good potential.
The e-commerce market remains in momentous growth during the post-pandemic era. As the second most profitable company in domestic e-commerce, ETMall has been in rapid growth for the past four years. The company’s consolidated revenue during 2020, which includes both Strawberrynet and Mama Bear Shopping, was NT$24.68 billion with a net profit of NT$1.445 billion. From January to August this year, revenue reached NT$18.59 billion while net profit reached NT$1.15 billion, representing an impressive 34.7% increase over the same period last year. According to surveys conducted by job bank platforms, e-commerce has become one of the industries with the best prospects and one of the most desired industries for young people to work part-time or join full-time.
Besides the positive outlook for the industry, Eastern Group also attaches great importance to the health and welfare of its employees. As soon as the pandemic broke out in Taiwan this year, Eastern took the lead in providing free PCR testing for all employees. And later as vaccines became available, vaccine insurance was also provided at no cost to all employees. Foreseeing the financial strain the pandemic placed on many families in combination with inflated prices, Eastern Group was also the first to announce in July that it would increase salaries for junior employees. Those who had served for more than one year were eligible to receive a salary increase of up to 7% based on their years of service. The plethora of bonuses and benefits made many employees cheer, “Thanks boss!” The myriad of bonuses also won ETMall a Gold Award at the “Happy Enterprise Awards" held by 1111 Job Bank this year. ETMall’s dedication to charity during the pandemic was also recognized with the Special Award, making the company deserving of the “Happy Enterprise" title. Interested? At ETMall, we want you! If you want to work at a happy enterprise, you can’t miss out on this opportunity!
