ETMall’s January-April Consolidated Revenue Reached NT$9.01 Billion—Growth Up 21%

ETMall, a subsidiary of Eastern Media International Corporation (2614), reported a consolidated revenue of NT$9.01 billion and an annual growth of 21% from January to April, with an EPS of NT$5.3 during the same period, and a significant growth of 53% over the last year. The consolidated revenue of April reached NT$2.14 billion, a record high for the same period, with an annual growth rate of 12% and a profit of NT$130 million, achieving an annual growth rate of 21% and a steady growth. The second quarter results are expected to grow significantly from the first quarter due to the consecutive holiday celebrations of Tomb-Sweeping Day, Mother’s Day, and Dragon Boat Festival, as well as mid-year promotions.

ETMall’s performance in April benefited from the Mother’s Day period. Further inventory of the overall sales situation from April 1 to May 6 and analysis of selected related products showed that health supplements and beauty care products suitable for Mother’s Day gifts generally sold very well. Out of the top ten items in terms of sales volume, more than 30,000 units of the health supplement Caltrate, ranking in first place, were sold. Around 12,000 units of the ever-popular In The Family Probiotics were sold, and took the top spot in the sales ranking. The top ten in sales performance also include: Huatuo Double Reishi Turtle and Deer Essence, Huatuo Ostrich Turtle and Deer Essence, Natural Beauty’s NB-1 Water Glow, STREMARK’s Advanced Revitalizing Cream, STREMARK’s LOHAS Essential Oils, and the iPhone 12. Out of these top ranking products, eight of them are great Mother’s Day gifts. In addition, people wanting to treat their moms to a fancy meal for Mother’s Day purchased more than 60,000 meal vouchers for Tokiya and TASTy Steak under Wowprime Group through e-commerce channels. The promotional events offered a wide range of discounts to let mothers enjoy a great meal, to look more beautiful, and have healthier lives.

There were even more ways for sons and daughters to show their love for their moms. They simply had to go online, make a few clicks, and buy groceries. The Happy Shopping online grocery platform launched a “Free Delivery for Orders Over NT$99”promotion from May 11 to May 16. Deliveries with the specified arrival time from 15:00 to 20:00, or full-day orders for delivery in Banqiao, Neihu, Daan, and Xindian districts could enjoy free shipping with a single order of NT$99 or above. In addition, pre-orders of zongzi for the Dragon Boat Festival were also available on Happy Shopping. It has over 10,000 products, of which nearly 5,000 are chilled or frozen fresh products. It mainly features an American-style supermarket, with no membership card required, no queue, and direct delivery to your home, as well as free shipping for orders over NT$499, and 3-hour fast delivery to certain areas in the Greater Taipei region and Taoyuan. In addition to providing consumers with the highest quality services, under the leadership of President Gary Wang, ETMall has also been involved in public welfare activities for years. For this year’s Mother’s Day, ETMall called on all its members and friends to participate in public welfare activities together. From May 1 to May 10, ETMall donated NT$5 for every item purchased through the EETV shopping channels. In addition, a total of NT$1 million was donated to the Department of Social Welfare of New Taipei City to help women who are victims of domestic violence. Peng Hung-Wu, General Manager of ETMall, said that ETMall participates in the New Taipei City Good Day Love Platform every year. At the beginning of last year, we donated white pomfret fish and NT$500,000 for the charity sale at Happiness Market. Furthermore, at the beginning of this year, we donated NT$1 million for New Year’s gift boxes and cash to help disadvantaged families and support stray animal shelters in New Taipei City. ETMall is committed to giving back to society; therefore, we want to send our love and care, together with our members and friends, to fill every corner of society with love and kindness.
