A friendly corporate culture and good benefits are a part of a dream workplace that many people aspire to. The third annual Happy Enterprise Awards of 2022, organized by 1111 Job Bank, was held today (11/11). Eastern Media International Corporation, ETMall, and ETwarm under the Eastern Group all won the Gold Award for Happy Enterprise once again. It was also the third consecutive year that ETwarm has received the Gold Award. President Gary Wang of Eastern Group has always emphasized that “employees are family”. Not only did he take the initiative to raise employees’ salaries and give out free health supplement products during the pandemic, but he has also expanded the “Pet Day” that has been organized for years by ET New Media Holdings. It now allows the Group’s employees to bring their fur children to work, which is a further step taken to care for employees’ mental health.
The Happy Enterprise Awards 2022 organized by 1111 Job Bank has become a new benchmark for the corporate sector. This year, 2,000 companies participated in the award, divided into nine categories: “Technology Research and Development,” “Manufacturing,” “General Everyday Service,” “Leisure and Entertainment Service,” “Food and Beverage Service,” “Construction,” “Financial Management,” “Trade and Distribution,” and “Education and Social Welfare.” Finally, 320 companies were selected by online voting and mystery shoppers as “Happy Enterprises” to receive the Gold Award.
At the award ceremony, Hu Shu-Huei Hu, Chief Operating Officer of ETwarm, said that the company was very happy to receive the Happy Enterprise Gold Award for the third consecutive years and the recognition of consumers. Happy Enterprise is the goal that ETwarm has always pursued. They are grateful to President Gary Wang for his dedication in caring for the needs of employees and expanding employee benefits every year in response to current events and trends, from vaccination screening and vaccine insurance to the comprehensive promotion of Pet Day for the modern-day people who love pets. Not only have these efforts created a positive working environment, but also provide a stage for our employees to work conducively. They hope to continue to attract even more capable partners with potential to join the Easton family.
Under the leadership of Gary Wang, Eastern Group has provided support to frontline medical personnel and cared for disadvantaged groups during the pandemic. With the easing of the global pandemic situation, inflationary pressures and soaring prices ensued. In order to take care of the livelihood of entry-level employees, the Group was the first to announce a salary increase in July last year and took the initiative to provide free vaccine insurance for all employees. Free health supplements were also provided to enhance immunity. When the pandemic was at its most severe, the employees were immediately instructed to work from home and guidelines were set up so that they could self-isolate with peace-of-mind at home and the company could operate normally without being affected.
In addition, Eastern Group has set up an employee recreation center within the company. The new office is equipped with vending machines and karaoke equipment to create a relaxing leisure environment, so that employees can work happily and relieve stress at the same time, and even bring their children along during holidays. In addition, with the popularity of ETtoday Pets, which promotes the concept of animal welfare and provides a wealth of interesting content, President Gary Wang is showing his love for fur babies by setting up a special “Pet Day” every month to allow employees to bring their pets to work with them. The many benefits make employees feel much cared for and loved.
In addition to Eastern Media International Corporation, ETMall, and ETwarm under the Eastern Group, which won the Gold Award again at this year’s Happy Enterprise Awards 2022, Eastern Natural Beauty and Oscar Pet Mall, which entered for the first time this year, also won the Silver Award. Eastern Group has long been committed to social welfare and environmental sustainability, and have set 2022 as the “first year of ESG for Eastern Group”, focusing on the goal of reducing carbon emissions and maintaining green energy and environmental protection. In addition to pursuing profit creation, Eastern Group has also made it its lifelong goal to give back to society by organizing activities such as planting trees and cleaning beaches in an effort to promote sustainable development.
